Meet Dr. McInnis

Dr. Michelle McInnis grew up in Greenville, SC.  In 2011, she received a B.A. in Biology from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.  She then pursued an education in dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she received a D.M.D. in 2015.

After dental school, Dr. McInnis completed a General Practice Residency at the University of North Carolina's Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC.  She received extensive clinical training in pediatrics, special needs dental care, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, oral conscious sedation, and hospital dentistry.

Dr. McInnis is passionate about health and education.  As a Presidential Scholar at MUSC, she worked to improve access to healthcare for local children in underserved communities.  She has volunteered to provide needed dental care to South Carolina communities through Give Kids a Smile and Dental Access Days.  During her time as Chief Resident at MAHEC, she worked with the MAHEC Family Health community, speaking about dental care with educational focus groups for pregnant women.

Additionally, Dr. McInnis strives to ensure all of her patients feel comfortable during the visit. She enjoys working with patients to meet their individual needs, and takes time to make sure they leave with a smile.

Dr. McInnis is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Association of Women Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
