Dr. Dolan Frye is a nationally board certified pediatric dentist (Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry). He is originally from Greenville, SC, where his family still resides. He received a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Clemson University in 2003. He went on to attend dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2007.
Following dental school, Dr. Frye completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the University of Florida. Dr. Frye then began working for the Indian Health Service in Taos, New Mexico. His experience working with the underserved children in New Mexico led him to pursue additional education in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Frye completed his pediatric dental residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, one of the top pediatric dental programs in the country. Dr. Frye’s training included extensive clinical experience in behavior guidance, oral conscious sedation, IV sedation, hospital dentistry, and caring for medically compromised patients and patients with special needs.
After residency, Dr. Frye worked in North Carolina in a pediatric dentistry/orthodontic practice while also serving as adjunct faculty at the UNC Pediatric Dentistry Dept.
Dr. Frye is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the College of Diplomates, the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Tri-County Dental Society.
As a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, the American Board of Pediatric Dentists (ABPD) certifies that the dental care that Dr. Frye provides is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality patient care.
When not in the office, Dr. Frye enjoys traveling, mountain biking, cheering on the Tigers, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Lauren, have two young boys, Charlie and Jack.
